My Xero Nutrition Diary

xero-food-diaryOne week before you begin your Xero Nutrition programme and before your first Xero treatment, we’ll ask you to complete a food diary. This allows your Xero practitioner to see your typical everyday consumption of food and drink, and understand where you are coming from. We encourage absolute honesty! We know it’s hard to let someone see your habits, but we will never judge you – the more we know, the more we can help!

Your food diary will be sent to one of our nutritionists, who will prepare a report, completely personalised to you. This report will identify areas where you could make positive changes and provide advice on how to improve your eating and drinking habits. If you have any questions at this point, the Xero Nutrition online portal will give you access to qualified nutritionists who will be able to help.

During your first Xero appointment, your Xero therapist will talk through the nutrition report with you in detail. Some of the recommendations made in the report may be behavioural, for example, we might suggest trying a different number of meals per day, or limiting snack and the timing of these. Other suggestions might be associated with changes to the types of food you eat, for example, removing sugar from your diet. It’s important for you to understand why these recommendations have been made, and what the guidelines are for following them. Consumption of sugar will restrict the results you can achieve from xero significantly, we will talk more about this in our blogs, sugar is the enemy of fat reduction!

We will thoroughly and clearly explain how and why consuming sugar can limit what you might be able to achieve through the Xero Nutrition programme. It’s not a faddy idea – we truly believe that sugar is the enemy of fat reduction, and we will help you to realise this too! Fibre, on the other hand, is our fat-reducing secret weapon!

Though some diet programmes have given fats and carbohydrates a bad name, we’ll explain the science behind why you absolutely need some fat and carbohydrates in your diet.
